What you will do

Metyis is growing! We are looking for an experienced eCommerce Director to join our Digital Commerce global team, driving our business growth through the establishment of high-impact partnerships, particularly focusing on B2B e-commerce . The successful candidate will demonstrate a track record of managing large-scale projects comparable to industry leaders.
Ideally, you will be Amsterdam based, while managing global projects.

  • Strategic Partnership Development:
    • Devise and execute a comprehensive global partnership strategy in alignment with the
    • Identify, cultivate, and manage high-value partnerships to elevate the brand's global
  • Business Development:
    • Lead and execute business development initiatives, with a specific emphasis on B2B
      eCommerce channels.
    • Spearhead the expansion of the company's market share through strategic alliances
      and collaborations.
  • Project Management:
    • Oversee and manage large-scale projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
    • Demonstrate a proven ability to handle projects of a scale and complexity comparable
      to renowned brands, including premium brands.
  • Global Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders on a global scale.
    • Represent the company in negotiations and discussions with potential partners and
  • Digital Innovation and Analytics:
    • Accelerate the pace of digital innovation, providing high-impact insights to enhance
      decision-making across the organization.
    • Oversee (advanced) analytics projects to increase channel profitability.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Steer business, acquisition, analytics, operations, and technology to offer the best-inclass user experience through continuous redesign.
    • Monitor and oversee the planning and development of eCommerce projects to ensure
      targets are met within deadlines.

What you’ll bring

  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • 12 years plus of work experience in eCommerce, with clear and demonstrable P&L
  • experience and strong operational rigor
  • Demonstrated success in developing and managing B2B partnership and strategies
  • Experience of a fast growth, in an international and matrixed corporate environment
  • Consumer-focused mindset
  • Experienced in leading ecommerce, tech and analytics teams and roadmaps
  • Strong in structured and logical thinking, problem solving, issue resolution, and
    attention to detail
  • Exceptional analytical skills - ability to generate insight from complex analytics and
    make digestible to the masses
  • Demonstrated strength in digital optimization on websites, mobiles devices and digital
    marketing vehicles
  • Strong organizational and process management skills
  • Strong team building and developer of people
  • Proven ability to collaborate broadly with flexible, positive attitude and ability to get
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate to the
    senior executive levels
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory; Dutch is a good to have but not mandatory. Any
    additional languages are considered an advantage.
