As a Data Engineering Director at Metyis, you will:

Collaborate with C-level executives to drive transformational changes in their business.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take on both technical and leadership responsibilities. You will:

Lead the design, development, and execution of end-to-end data engineering projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
Design and implement data infrastructure to support digital marketing, eCommerce, and business intelligence solutions.
Collaborate with clients, translating business needs into technical data solutions that provide measurable impact.
Provide strategic guidance on data governance, ensuring compliance and best practices throughout the data lifecycle.
Manage key client relationships, regularly interacting with stakeholders at the executive level to identify new business opportunities and ensure project success.
Oversee and ensure quality control, troubleshooting, and optimization of team members' work.
Drive the growth of Metyis’ data engineering practice by developing new client offerings, advising on business development strategies, and contributing to thought leadership.
Lead, develop, and inspire a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions, fostering collaboration across teams and disciplines.

What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, you should have:

A BSc or MSc in Computer Science, IT, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
10+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, with at least 4+ years in a leadership role.
Proven experience in stakeholder management, with the ability to engage C-suite executives and communicate technical solutions effectively to non-technical audiences.
A strong business acumen, with experience in business development and managing client relationships to expand business opportunities.
Demonstrated success in leading teams, delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Advanced knowledge of data solutions based in Azure and Azure native solutions
Advocate for best software development and data engineering practices in the team
Knowledge and practical experience with one of data governance frameworks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
