Who we are

Adaptfy is a turnkey data & analytics solution for the SHV family of companies. We support multiple SHV Groups with advanced Data & Analytics in all areas, elevating their operations in diverse industries across international markets and throughout entire value chains.

Adaptfy is a joint venture formed by SHV and Metyis. Metyis embodies visionary thinking in the digital world, while SHV is a globally established family of companies built on the values of integrity, trust, curiosity, passion, and inclusivity.

SHV has a presence across four continents, with businesses spanning energy, heavy lifting and transport, animal nutrition & aquaculture, testing, inspection & certification, and more. The organisation’s history reflects its courage to care—for people, for performance, and for future generations. Their success is a testament to constant reinvention through innovation.

At Adaptfy, we play a pivotal role in bringing SHV’s digital vision to life. From optimising supply chains across Europe to enhancing operational efficiency in South America, we connect the dots for SHV, shaping a data-driven future for the entire family of companies.

What we offer

  • A hands-on opportunity to help build data governance in practice within one of the SHV Groups, moving beyond theory into real business impact.

  • The chance to shape the first reusable data governance building blocks for Adaptfy and the wider SHV family of companies, including templates, ways of working, and practical implementation approaches.

  • A collaborative and inclusive work environment at Adaptfy, the central data, AI, and analytics business unit supporting SHV companies globally.

  • Exposure to business and IT stakeholders across Adaptfy and SHV, starting with one embedded group implementation and growing towards broader cross-group impact.

  • Senior support and coaching from experienced Adaptfy colleagues in data, analytics, architecture, privacy, security, and business consulting.

  • A role with strong learning and growth potential, ideal for someone who wants to develop into a broader data governance leadership position.

  • A hybrid working model, with regular travel to SHV companies during key phases of the implementation to build relationships, facilitate workshops, and embed new ways of working.

  • A culture that values curiosity, ownership, diversity, equity, inclusion, high ethical standards, confidentiality, and responsible use of data.

  • Engagement with industry trends, new technologies, and evolving data governance practices, fostering lifelong learning and professional growth.

What you will do

As Data Governance Implementation Lead at Adaptfy, you will help one of the SHV Groups turn data governance from concept into daily practice. You will work closely with business and IT stakeholders to define ownership, improve data quality, document key data processes, and establish practical governance routines.

Rather than starting with a large enterprise-wide framework, your focus will be to prove the first governance building blocks in a real business environment. Once these foundations work, you will help Adaptfy translate the learnings into reusable methods, templates, and accelerators for other SHV companies.

  • Work embedded in one SHV Group to help implement practical data governance capabilities in day-to-day operations.

  • Identify priority data domains, stakeholders, pain points, and governance gaps together with business and IT teams.

  • Define and document clear roles and responsibilities, including data owners, data stewards, data custodians, and decision forums.

  • Help establish practical routines for data quality management, issue resolution, access governance, metadata documentation, and change management.

  • Facilitate workshops with business and technical stakeholders to align on ownership, definitions, rules, and decision-making.

  • Support the setup of a lightweight Data Governance Council or working group where needed.

  • Translate governance concepts into clear, usable templates, playbooks, and ways of working.

  • Capture lessons learned from the first implementation and help Adaptfy turn them into reusable accelerators for other SHV Groups.

  • Collaborate with Adaptfy colleagues in data engineering, analytics, architecture, privacy, security, and business consulting.

  • Contribute to the longer-term development of Adaptfy’s data governance offering.

What you will bring

  • 4–6 years of experience in data governance, data management, data quality, analytics, business analysis, reporting, compliance, or a related field.

  • Strong interest in data governance and willingness to grow into a broader governance leadership role.

  • Proactive, hands-on mindset: you are comfortable picking up ambiguous topics and turning them into practical next steps.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain data concepts to business and technical audiences.

  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders across business and IT.

  • Ability to structure problems, document processes, define roles, and create clear working agreements.

  • Confidence facilitating workshops, asking good questions, and driving alignment.

  • Good understanding of data quality, data ownership, metadata, access management, or reporting processes.

  • Curiosity, resilience, and a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to ask for senior support.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with data governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK or CDMP.

  • Experience with governance, cataloguing, or data quality tools such as Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Microsoft Purview, or similar.

  • Experience in ESG, Finance, HR, Operations, Supply Chain, or another business domain where data quality and ownership are important.

  • Experience in a consulting, international, or multi-entity organization.

  • Basic SQL, BI, or data platform knowledge.

  • Knowledge of GDPR or other data protection principles.

At Adaptfy, we are driven by curiosity and collaboration. We value diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) in all its forms as it makes us stronger as an organisation and promotes creativity and innovation. We welcome all talents and are committed to creating a workplace where every employee can make a meaningful impact and grow.
