What you will do
We are looking for an experienced professional to join our AI & Data Migration Team. As an AI Acceleration Lead / AI Architect, you will be responsible for designing and leading AI-assisted automation solutions that accelerate SAP migration, data platform modernization, technical analysis, documentation, code interpretation, testing, and delivery execution.
You will combine a strong software development background, AI engineering expertise, and experience leading large software development teams or acting as a staff/principal engineer for complex enterprise solutions. You will work closely with SAP architects, SAP BW / ABAP experts, Data Engineering, BI, CloudOps, Governance, and business stakeholders to embed AI into the migration delivery process.
Lead the architecture and implementation of AI-assisted automation solutions for SAP migration and data platform modernization.
Define the AI acceleration roadmap, technical architecture, reusable patterns, and delivery standards for AI-enabled migration.
Design AI agents, copilots, automation workflows, and orchestration patterns to support technical analysis, code interpretation, documentation, testing, and migration execution.
Lead software development teams in designing, building, testing, and deploying AI-enabled automation solutions.
Act as a senior technical authority for complex solution design, engineering standards, code quality, architecture decisions, and delivery execution.
Define engineering practices for AI-assisted development, including code review, CI/CD, testing, observability, security, documentation, and release management.
Guide multiple developers across backend, data, AI, integration, and DevOps workstreams to deliver production-ready solutions.
Support staffing, technical onboarding, capability development, and engineering quality control for AI acceleration teams.
Break down complex AI automation initiatives into clear technical work packages for development teams.
Build and guide solutions that help analyze SAP BW objects, ABAP code, SAP metadata, data lineage, interfaces, dependencies, and migration complexity.
Work with SAP Architects, SAP BW / ABAP Leads, and Integration Specialists to translate SAP knowledge into AI-readable context, prompts, tools, and automation flows.
Help AI developers integrate solutions with SAP metadata, ABAP repositories, documentation sources, data catalog tools, code repositories, DevOps pipelines, and target data platforms.
Define how AI should support migration activities such as object discovery, impact analysis, source-to-target mapping, transformation explanation, test case generation, reconciliation support, and documentation creation.
Lead software architecture for AI solutions, including APIs, backend services, workflow orchestration, security, logging, monitoring, evaluation, and deployment.
Guide development teams in building robust, maintainable, and production-ready AI-enabled tools and services.
Define quality controls for AI outputs, including human-in-the-loop validation, traceability, evaluation criteria, hallucination controls, and audit evidence.
Support integration of AI capabilities with Microsoft Azure, Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI models, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, GitHub, DevOps, and monitoring tools where relevant.
Identify automation opportunities across data engineering, IoT, finance, marketing, operations, and enterprise reporting workflows.
Work with Data Engineering and BI teams to automate repetitive development, documentation, testing, validation, and migration support tasks.
Collaborate with Governance and Security teams to ensure AI solutions are compliant, secure, explainable, and aligned with responsible AI principles.
Coach project teams on practical AI usage, prompt engineering, AI-assisted development, and safe adoption of automation in delivery work.
Support project planning, estimation, prioritization of AI use cases, delivery reporting, and value tracking of AI acceleration initiatives.
What you will bring
8+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, data engineering, automation, or AI-enabled enterprise delivery.
Strong software development background with hands-on experience designing and building production-grade applications, APIs, backend services, data services, or automation platforms.
Proven experience leading software development teams or acting as a staff/principal engineer for large teams and complex enterprise solutions.
Proven experience leading large-scale automation initiatives using AI, preferably in data, IoT, finance, marketing, operations, or enterprise analytics environments.
Strong ability to define engineering standards, architecture principles, delivery patterns, and technical quality gates across multiple teams.
Experience coaching developers, reviewing technical designs, improving code quality, and raising engineering maturity in delivery teams.
Ability to balance hands-on technical depth with leadership across architecture, delivery planning, team enablement, and stakeholder management.
Experience building complex production systems involving APIs, integrations, automation workflows, cloud services, data platforms, monitoring, and security controls.
Strong experience with Python and modern software engineering practices, including Git, CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, observability, and secure development.
Experience designing and implementing AI agents, LLM-based applications, workflow automation, RAG solutions, prompt frameworks, and tool/function-calling patterns.
Strong understanding of enterprise data platforms, data pipelines, metadata, lineage, data quality, semantic layers, and analytical reporting processes.
Experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI / OpenAI models, Azure AI Foundry, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, or similar cloud and data platforms.
Ability to translate business and technical problems into scalable AI automation solutions with measurable delivery impact.
Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise systems, APIs, databases, code repositories, documentation platforms, DevOps tools, and monitoring systems.
Strong understanding of AI governance, security, access control, privacy, model evaluation, auditability, and responsible AI practices.
Experience defining human-in-the-loop review processes, evaluation frameworks, quality gates, and controls for AI-generated outputs.
Strong architectural thinking, with the ability to design reliable, reusable, and maintainable AI-enabled platforms rather than one-off prototypes.
Experience in automating technical documentation, code analysis, test generation, data validation, or migration support processes is a strong plus.
SAP knowledge is a plus, especially SAP BW, SAP HANA, ABAP, SAP metadata, SAP integration patterns, APIs, extractors, and migration dependencies.
Experience working with SAP modernization, SAP migration, or ERP-related data transformation programs is a plus.
Ability to collaborate with SAP experts and convert domain knowledge into AI context, prompts, structured metadata, and reusable automation logic.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain AI architecture, risks, limitations, and business value to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Customer centric, pragmatic, and passionate about using AI to improve delivery speed, quality, and transparency.
Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and ability to work with ambiguity in complex transformation environments.
Comfortable leading multidisciplinary teams across AI, Software Engineering, SAP, Data Engineering, BI, CloudOps, Governance, and Business Analysis.
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or another related technical discipline. A Master’s Degree is a plus.
