What you will do
Lead the analysis, migration, and modernization of SAP BW, SAP HANA, and ABAP solutions to cloud-based data platforms.
Analyze SAP BW objects, ABAP programs, custom extractors, and integration components to identify migration dependencies and business logic.
Design scalable, maintainable, and cloud-ready data processing solutions while ensuring data quality, reconciliation, and auditability.
Develop technical migration specifications, source-to-target mappings, delta load strategies, and validation frameworks.
Work with SAP integration technologies, including APIs, IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, CDS Views, OData Services, and custom extractors.
Collaborate with SAP, Data Engineering, BI, AI, and Cloud teams to deliver successful migration outcomes.
Support migration testing, regression testing, parallel runs, production cutover, and post-go-live stabilization.
Troubleshoot migration issues, data discrepancies, and performance bottlenecks while ensuring compliance with governance and security standards.
Contribute to metadata management, data lineage, business glossary, and documentation to support AI-assisted migration initiatives.
What you will bring
5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP BW (BW on HANA/BW/4HANA), SAP HANA, and ABAP development.
Proven experience delivering SAP migration, modernization, or cloud transformation projects.
Strong knowledge of SAP BW objects, ABAP programming, SAP extraction methods, and data integration technologies.
Experience with SAP interfaces, including IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, CDS Views, OData Services, and APIs.
Strong SQL, data analysis, reconciliation, and performance optimization skills.
Experience designing and validating end-to-end data migration solutions.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
<strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong>
Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Databricks, or other cloud data platforms.
Understanding of modern data architectures, including Data Lakes, Lakehouse, Medallion Architecture, and Semantic Layers.
Experience with metadata management, data lineage, data governance, and catalog solutions.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development, code generation, or migration accelerators.
Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
